Dear Mr. Mercer:
Thank you for sharing your life and memories with us through your new book and the DVD. I really enjoyed both and can’t even say which is my favorite. I started going to the Follies in Season 4 and have gone ever year since and, for me, you and your brother were always the highlight of the show. I know you are sorely missed by the many fans of the show.
My best to you in your future pursuits.

I haven't started Bud's book yet as my husband has commandeered it. I am getting to know quite a bit about it as he keeps reading me passages and asks, "Do you remember this person or that film?" So it is definitely a hit, a real trip down memory lane.

Dear Bud,
Now that I have watched the DVD and am in the process of reading your book, I feel the overwhelming compulsion to express my deepest gratitude to you for capturing your history in show business! I was young, inexperienced and naïve when I had the opportunity to work with you in Giggles Galore. But I must admit that you and Jim made quite an impression on me and I have always been proud to say that my career started off in Vaudeville/Burlesque! I am so grateful that you took the time, energy and creativity to record your life for those who can relate and for those who merely dream. It is now and has been for quite some time, my goal to dance in the "Palm Spring's Follies" when I am old enough! And, yes, I am still dancing.
So, I just wanted to say, Thank you for your work, your life and for sharing it with all of us!

“Tripping the Light Fantastic” was a delightful read! The word certainly needs to be spread that this is an interesting book and well worth reading. People of many ages can relate to the different entertainment venues throughout the book. We also enjoyed the stories written about so many of the other entertainers in the industry; several of which were our “old-time” favorites. There must have been thousands of people who saw the Mercer Brothers at the “

Thank you for letting me know, I caught it! Whatta' guy. He came across like a 50 yr old - what a mind, what recall, what poise, speaks so well, clear, concise, easy to understand everything and he is able to take one back in time which is so much fun.
Because I knew his Mom & Dad, his siblings and even most of his in-laws it was so much fun for me. Of course some of the history was new to me -after all I hadn't heard all the stories - my bad luck. Now I am getting caught up - I do enjoy it so much.

Hi there!
Greetings from slightly snowy and cold Ohio! I absolutely enjoyed listening to you on the radio. I have read the book through already and am getting ready to start all over again. Got a big chuckle reading about the night we all sat in front at La Comedia. I startled everyone in the house when I shouted "I was there"! I am only in one other book that I know of and that is God's Book. Enjoy your book tour and signings. I hope that perhaps a Dayton bookstore will be interested in having you come out here.

To the best Uncle a girl could ever have. Your book is a treasure, and I have enjoyed sharing it with all I come in contact with. Not only did it offer so much insight to all our lives, but truly makes me proud and honored that we could be a part of your wonderful life. We have learned and developed much from yours and my parents teachings. It has made all of us appreciate our place in this world.
Dear Bud,
I have been a fan of the Mercer Brothers since I first saw you with Tempest Storm at the Flamingo in Reno, NV. I was happy to see you at the Follies and enjoyed every moment of you two. when Jim died a great part of the Follies disappeared-I firmly believe that your act was the reason many people came to the Follies. We are among them, you are very much missed. I am looking forward to your book and DVD. thank you for writing it. Love and Blessings, John C. Brown

Sorry it has taken so much time to thank you for the Mercer Brothers book. I had a difficult time putting it down. Only took me three nights reading it before I fell asleep. The last night I did not finish it until 2 AM. It brought back many memories. The Casino theater in Pittsburgh, PA. had gypsy, Ann Coreo and Miss Hart. plus the comedians. The higher court joke I remember. Empty hanger, lost my suit. The machine that one fellow refused to get in because a pregnant lady had just used it. The use of walkers was great.
We have been to all but one of the Follies shows. The year we missed was the year Jim passed away. It has not ben the same since you no longer perform there. I firmly believe that The Mercer Brothers brought in a lot of attendees. Also thanks for the inscription in the book and your note. They stay with the book. We will be at the Follies Matinee on April 3, 2007 and once again we will miss you.
Take care. Love, John C. Brown

Have watched the DVD and all I can say is more and more. Looking forward to your next book. Put me on the list. The Mercer Brothers were the last of vaudeville. Can't think of anyone else that is still around and performing.
Thanks again for the memories. As Ever, John
